Narrative :
The purpose of this assignment is to provide technical-scientific assistance for the systematic evaluation and improvement of the numerical model instrumentation used for the simulation of hydrodynamics in the Flemish tidal waters and coastal harbors.

The assignment aims at the project-based realisation of, among others, the following products:
- Research: validation exercise of a new model for water movement in the coastal zone
- Toolbox development: development of the VIMM toolbox for model validation
- Numerical modelling: calibration of Scaldis 2020, the 3D reference model for water movement in the Scheldt
- System view: creation of a D-Hydro schematic of the Scheldt estuary
- Dredging strategy: support of calculations related to “Flexible Storten”
